Bafang BBSHD aluminum chainring 40 42 44 teeth 130 mm bolt circle

It is ideal for mountainous regions where the original Bafang chainring with 46 teeth is too large. It offers an offset of 7-8 mm inwards – ideal if the swingarm is too wide and the chainring touches it. See also the PDF on the chainline in the download.

Compared to the original steel chainring, the chainline is slightly further outwards, as the bolts do not allow any more offset. Optionally, the chainring can also be offset a few millimetres inwards using spacers and longer chainring bolts.

Can also be used as a chainring adapter – suitable for all 5-arm chainrings with 130 mm bolt circle, such as this chainring. There are many suitable standard chainrings – e.g. from Gebhardt Classic from 38 to 66 teeth. Alternatively, an additional chainring or chain guard can be fitted on the outside . With the outer chainring, the chain line naturally moves further out and only the faster gears can be used. (see video below).

The weight is approx. 368 grams (42T) and thus saves over 200 grams of weight compared to the Bafang standard steel chainring.

The inner hole has a diameter of approx. 41 mm, the bolt circle of the chainring bolts approx. 52 mm.
