The following image shows the respective dimensions (millimetres) of the motors. When attaching the motor, it is essential to ensure that the mounting plate (triangle) is straight in other words: the retaining plate should rest completely on the bottom bracket frame part so that the teeth of the retaining plate can grip the frame. To ensure that this plate can be fitted correctly, there must be a thread (B) on the axle sleeve for fitting the two retaining rings – and also a threaded area (H) in the area of the two bolts.
There are 3 use cases:
a) If the bottom bracket is shorter than the value G, the thread (H) can be reduced to 10 mm (filing). It must be noted that the thread on the axle sleeve (B) may be too short for this. If this is the case, then either the thread (B) can be extended manually or a suitable spacer can be placed between the triangle and the first retaining ring.
b) Precise fit: The width of the bottom bracket must correspond to the values C and G.
c) If the bottom bracket is wider than the value G, standard washers (M6) are required in the threaded area (triangle).
When threading the axle sleeve, please note that at least 13 mm (preferably 15 mm) is required for fastening the plate and the two retaining rings. It may also be necessary to use spacers due to the swing arm (chain stay). This should also be taken into account. We recommend using our chainring template for this purpose.
