Bafang BBS01 BBS02 freewheel clutch pawl

This freewheel (clutch, pawl) is an original Bafang spare part. The 3 teeth of this clutch engage with the internal gearing of the large gearbox. Power is transmitted via this when pedaling (in gas mode, the large gearbox is driven via the Pinion). If you have the feeling that the pedal sometimes slips when pedaling, then it could be due to this freewheel or the internal gearing of the gearbox.

1. Remove the retaining ring and pull the PAS disk upwards
2. Loosen screws
3. If the plate cannot be lifted, simply lift it upwards using the screws
4. Carefully install the clutch without applying force, lubricate well and – importantly – observe the direction of travel. It is recommended that you first position the clutch and then push the axle through. Then reassemble everything in reverse order.
