The ferrofluid ensures a better transfer of heat to the motor housing and thus the heat can be better dissipated. You can find more information here<\/a> <\/p>\n

The idea behind Statorade is brilliant and simple. <\/span>A direct drive hub motor generates heat internally at the stator, but this heat has no easy way to escape because it is surrounded by trapped air. With statorade, only a tiny amount of fluid is required to have low resistance. Nanomagnetic particles suspended in a low-viscosity oil concentrate this fluid in the magnetic air gap of the motor. This is exactly where heat must be transferred by fluid convection between the motor stator and the motor housing, where the heat can then be easily dissipated to the environment via the air flow <\/span><\/p>\n

Ensure that the opposing screws are tightened evenly from all sides.
