Bafang BBSHD Steel Reduction Gear

This reduction gear is made of steel and can be used as replacement for the original nylon gear of Bafang BBSHD motors. Perfect for those, who use Bafang BBSHD with more powerful controllers (more than 30A).

This gear has been designed to be as quit as possible. The gear size was reduced, so it has minimal contact and further less noise. This steel gear is noticeably louder than the stock nylon gear but it gets quiter with use as it breaks in.

• Inner diameter: 15,7 mm
• Width (teeth): 20,1 mm
• Width (bearing): 26,0 mm

How to replace nylon gear:

unmount the controller

remove the silicone

and all the rubber sealings

open the screws of the stator side and remove it

open up the 3 screws with force and pressure, use the right bit and a power drill

insert 3x M5 screws to lift up the plate

replace the nylon gear and grease it well. Replace also the gaskets, if they are damaged

Clean the old silicone, insert the rubber seals or replace them.
